Welcome Prospective Graduate Residents, 

Surely by now you are all aware of the relationship between Rice University and Graduate Housing Communities. But are you aware of the common goal that unites us? Like the university, we are dedicated to creating an environment that is as conducive to a pursuit of academic knowledge as it is to a pursuit of life experience. And we are interested in helping you achieve this balance as well. 

 To help you personalize your room, our furnished apartments are available in a variety of floor plans. For errands and excursions alike, our shuttle service provides easy transportation to and from campus, nearby grocery stores, and shopping centers. We provide free wireless internet with the Rice wireless network which gives you access to use Fondren Library’s online journals and databases. And each year we have a visiting scholar who leads discussion groups and information sessions on his or her field of study and career path. 

When you find time for recreation, we encourage you to attend one of the many social events sponsored by us or the Rice community, such as Cheese club, Diner’s club and the ever popular Pub Crawl. 

We are always working toward striking the perfect balance between work and play, academics and leisure. We invite you to join us in our endeavor.
